CD Projekt Red has announced Update 2.5 for Cyberpunk 2077, arriving alongside Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. The update is free. 80 Level reports it launches October 22 on PC, Mac (Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions are due in the following days.

The main gameplay addition is Double Trouble, a new perk in the Cool tree that lets V dual-wield Power pistols and revolvers. Four auxiliary perks support the playstyle, and new Photo Mode poses are included. Players can also customize arm cyberware (Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire or the Projectile Launch System) at five new Glamdocs, each offering its own colors and cyberware skins.

Content tied to Edgerunners 2 includes the Clampdown side quest, set before the events of the anime. It unlocks after The Heist and two gigs for Wakako, and leads to a five-piece equipment set based on King. A new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, carries music from across the Edgerunners series. Other additions are the Welcome to Paradise quest, 12 new Minor Arcana Tarot cards, five clothing collections, previously NPC-exclusive hairstyles, stash item filters and playthrough-specific save grouping.

For developers and modders, the notable change is cross-platform mod support through Mod.io, available on PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2 via an in-game menu. 80 Level describes it as an initial rollout, not access to every PC mod, with more compatible content expected over time. On consoles, achievements and trophies are disabled when you use a modded save.

On the technical side, consoles get an FOV slider. PC support extends to DLSS 4.5 with up to 6X Multi Frame Generation and its second-generation transformer model. Compatible Samsung Odyssey 3D monitors can show glasses-free stereoscopic effects, and Apple devices get MetalFX Frame Interpolation. The update also includes improvements to HDR, ray tracing performance and PS5 Pro optimization. These details come from a single secondary report, so check CD Projekt Red's official patch notes when they publish.
