Rockstar Games has published the official launch trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, according to 80 Level. The video arrived roughly 35 days before the game's scheduled November 19, 2026 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The outlet calls that unusually early for a video billed as a launch trailer and reads it as a sign that Rockstar's final marketing push is underway.
The trailer runs 90 seconds. Unlike the gameplay reveal from August, it does not break down mechanics. It cuts quickly through robberies, car chases, crowded streets, nightlife, police confrontations and quieter scenes between protagonists Jason and Lucia. Rockstar says the whole trailer was captured on PlayStation 5.
For technical readers, the footage again shows the density of Vice City: busy roads, crowded interiors, detailed character animation and a large number of NPCs. 80 Level reports that NPC population was one of the game's biggest production challenges. It also reports, without detail, that Rockstar expanded those elements considerably during development.
The story setup is unchanged. After a job goes wrong, the couple is caught in a conspiracy across Leonida and has to rely on each other. 80 Level says earlier demonstrations suggest the partnership will shape both narrative and moment-to-moment play, including optional romance elements. It also reports that characters can change physically based on diet, exercise and sleep, and that pedestrians react more convincingly to weapons, clothing, appearance and player behavior.
The trailer debuts a track called Flower in a Hurricane from Justice, the French duo composing the original score. It features Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.
If you are tracking platforms, the November date applies only to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC date. 80 Level notes a recent report that claims a PC release in the first quarter of 2027. Treat that as unconfirmed until Rockstar says otherwise.
